Stardust longing. A silent love

You said you needed to disappear for a while

and my heart flew back to the time

i left myself drown

and waited to see how much could my lungs

breathe without oxygen.

I wanted to catch you,

to pull you back and tell you that

as long as I am here,

nothing bad will ever happen to you.

But what if it is my love that shook your core

what if my hug was too tight

and my kiss too strong

that your body over flooded with emotion

that your soul has no manual for?

And I could try and lend you mine,

but the directions just won’t do.

So I tied my hands and I silenced my mouth,

I shut my phone in a box

and watched the stars come up.

I begged them to whisper my love to you,

I promised them my heart in return,

for it has no use without you here.
